From one of our Groomer Operators
Over the last few weeks we have received many inches of snow, however, the trails remain closed. As I write this, Madison has received close to 14″ of snow (This storm alone) and Freedom maybe 8-10″. While we welcome the abundance of white stuff, we need to stay off the trails until they are deemed open. We are hopeful that this early snow will benefit our base and allow us to get an early start to the season. Pay attention to FB for the latest news and trail work meetings. Also, I have updated the latest trail closures due to land owner wishes. So please take note, Dave is working on options/solutions. We’re almost there! Hang in there. TC 11/27/18
President Info on the trails
To all concerned…. The people that run this club, like most other clubs in this state, are volunteers that give up a lot of time to keep our trails and club working. We have day jobs and families! Now that there is some snow on the ground people are coming out of the woodwork looking for memberships and grooming. Nothing has changed we are still doing what we need to do but if you have waited till now to join it will take longer because many others have done the same and that same volunteer has no extra time to do it. Please be patient. The trails are not opening for a couple of weeks yet. If the snow keeps up then they should be open for Dec. 15th. Otherwise please stay off the trails or we will lose them. It pisses off landowners when you rip up their land because of low snow cover.
