2013 Grass Drags Over
October 23rd, 2013The Grass Drags Were a Huge Success, We sold out of all food except hamburgers and cheeseburgers! We even sold out of some of the drinks! We had a great time! Friday was a sunny day and was a little slow however Saturday although cold and a little rainy proved too big the big day as the event was packed and our lines were long! It was hard to keep up on the grills! Camping during the event was fun and I hope more of you will do it in the future nothing like some down time around the fire after a long day with our friends and family. I believe this could be an even better function if we make a weekend of it in the campground at the event!
I would like to personally thank all of our members and supporters and especially the members that showed up to help at the event, Dave George, Ken Storti, Ken Sweet, Rich Ventura, Ron Pinard, Dave & Lisa Charrette, Casey Charrette, Mathew Charrette, Scott Torrey, Paul Savignano, Kim Fielding, John Fielding, Cliff Fielding, Adam Fielding, Steve Jones, Stephen Jones Jr, Abby Jones, Missy Jones, Scott & Heather Bobbitt, Derek Bobbitt, Mark Bernard, Ken Walden, and Brian Michalak!
We would also like to thank Joe Diruzza & Sign A Rama for datating the posters and printing for our new sidewalk signs!
Paul Savignano for building the trail sign menu boards!
Yankee Smoke House for donating some of their special sauce for our pulled pork sandwiches!
I would also like to thank my Drags Committee Lisa Charrette and Steve Jones Sr. Without you watching my back we would have never pulled this off!
The Grass Drag Commitee and SOS would like to thank the Weare Winter Wonderers Snowmobile Club. Saturday we ran out of coffee cups and they donated us some to get by! Thank you so much! This is a great example of snowmobilers sticking together!
Without all of you this would never had been a success. Thank you all for your ideas and help! I am already looking forward to next year! Sean Pinard VP / 2013 Grass Drags Chair
Volunteers Needed for the Grass Drags
September 18th, 2013To all, we are still looking for more help for the Grass Drags. We are setting up Thursday night the 10th approx 5:00-6:00pm and finish Friday morning to be ready for Friday 2:00pm. The drags are open Friday the 11th 2:00 – 9:00 and Sat & Sun the 12th-13th 9:00 – 6:00. Our booth will be open for all these times! We will need help after 6:00 Sunday to breakdown and load!
We also will need some help to get the trailer and the smoker to and from the event. They can go down anytime after the 5th as they can be stored @ Scotts house near the drags. The trailer needs to be back the following weekend for the Danforth Bay RV show and would like the smoker back the same weekend to the clubhouse.
Please let us know if you can help with anything! If working the drags I need to schedule you in and get you a shirt ASAP if you need one! Thank you

Once again we will be selling our famous turkey legs as well as hamburgers, hotdogs, Italian sausage and pulled pork sandwiches! We are looking to set up Thursday night the 10th if possible and the event runs Friday 2 pm -9pm and Sat & Sun 9am to 6pm. We will need some help Friday morning to finish setting up and after 6 on Sunday to tear down. We are also looking for volunteers to bring the trailer and the smoker down to Scott Torrey’s house near the drags the prior weekend or during the week so they are there for Thursday night.
