Goe Hill Trail Update
December 11th, 2020To all our members and guests. Pending snow conditions, we will have the Goe Hill trail open this year. This trail runs from “T” Junc (three fingers) toward Madison by Bald Ledge and back to “Q” Junction. (last Junc near the clubhouse). This trail completes the loop in our system for the Clubhouse. We have not had it in a few years due to a landowner concern.
Be advised this trails has been slightly re-routed which includes about 100 yards of road on Goe Hill. There is livestock near this trail and it still crosses said landowner’s property on part of the old trail. Fortunately we will still have the lookout. This is a very sensitive area and cannot be abused. Stay on the marked trail at all times and ride with caution on the road and in a manner not to disturb the livestock. This took a ton of work by multiple members over the last year and we don’t want to lose it again. Thank you all for your cooperation! SOS Trail Crew
Update for Nov Meeting and Trail Work
November 18th, 2020We will be needing more help this coming weekend. We still have some final finish work for the roof so we can get the staging down Rich is heading this up and will need a few guys to help with the final touches. The weather is changing so we need to get this complete. We also have some chipping out back of the clubhouse and a bridge to deck. We will likely be headed to Goe Hill to access the new part of the trail, sign and brush if needed. We were a little shorthanded last weekend so looking for some more help please let us know if you can make it.
Our Nov meeting, the BOD has decided to continue with our Thanksgiving dinner for our upcoming meeting however our process and guidelines have changed due to COVID! Please read the email if you got it, also the event info on FB and the web has been updated with our process! Please review if you looking to join us and contact any BOD member with questions!
Thank you and please be safe!
General Meetings & Pot Luck
October 16th, 2020To all, per the BOD Pot Luck Dinners during meetings have been suspended until further notice due to COVID concerns.
Currently our General Meetings will continue however the BOD is strongly encouraging masks be worn when in the clubhouse as well as maintaining social distancing. Meetings start at 7:00 PM every 3rd Saturday, October – April. Per our bylaws we need to continue with our General Meetings and allow access to all members as it is their right to attend, however we need to be concerned with everyone’s safety. If you are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons and would like to attend we ask that you strictly maintain social distancing within the building. We will do our best to accommodate all members attending and maintain room for social distancing within the building. If you are feeling sick or have flu type symptoms we ask that you do not attend functions within the clubhouse.
Meeting minutes will be available to all members within a week of said meeting, if you would like a copy please contact any board member.
We thank you for your help and understanding in these tough times and trust we can all work together to keep our club going strong and be ready for the numerus feet of snow and amazing trails coming for us this winter.
New Clubhouse Roof
September 24th, 2020Ok all, given our survey on FB it looks like we are a go for the weekend of the October 17th 2020!
This is likely a 2 day job and we will need all hands on deck! Currently we have about 10 people but will need more if we are to get this done that weekend and correctly. Please let us know if you can help so we know how many we have and just as important we have food and drinks.
We will be doing breakfast and lunch for all helping and will supply drinks for hydration!
Bring tools, ladders and we still may need some staging. We will work on getting the rest of the supplies to be ready when we start! We have other projects that will likely need to be finished so if we have an excess of people don’t worry we will have plenty to do!
Our Clubhouse is one of our greatest assets and it will be great to have a good clean roof as well as many other items repaired, changed and improved! It is a staple of our club and visited by snowmobilers from all over! We are all be proud and blessed to have it and the property it is on. The club house has been there since 1983 when it was brought in off the “Kanc” and reassembled on its current location, thanks to our members during that time!
Thank you all for your help & support!
